Polarity & the flow of energy

Our bodies use energy to complete tasks both big and small – from running a marathon to lifting a pencil. But what you might not realize is that we are literally made of energy! In fact, many scientists believe that almost all of your body’s mass comes from the kinetic energy of quarks and the binding energy of gluons. We’re essentially giant batteries!

Naturally, energy should flow from the crown chakra (top of head) down to the root chakra (tailbone area). Sometimes, however, an energetic blockage at one of the chakras might prevent energy from flowing optimally. You might also have reverse-polarity, meaning that energy is flowing in the opposite direction. If this is the case, you might experience some common issues.

Signs of reverse polarity:

  1. easily stressed
  2. fatigue
  3. brain fog or headache
  4. clumsiness
  5. it takes you a long time to heal or recover
  6. supplements don’t work well

If you swayed forward (even slightly) when your palm was facing down, your polarity is as it should be! If you swayed forward when your palm was facing up, your polarity may be reversed (or your energy flow may be disordered).

    So what can you do?

The first thing to try is drinking more water. Dehydration and lack of electrolytes can disrupt energy flow. Reiki, meditation, relaxation, or yoga might also be helpful to balance your energy. If you’d like to learn more about why correcting polarity is important (other than feeling less sluggish and yucky), leave me a comment!
